Facilities - Grounds

Responsibilities

* Empties small trash receptacles on campus and collects plastic bottles and cans. Transports waste and recyclable materials to the Solid Waste / Recycling department using a utility vehicle.

* Maintains a safe, clean, sustainable and attractively environment for the students, faculty, and staff of our institution. Pressure washes buildings, steps, sidewalks, and other outdoor areas.

* Removes refuse from residence halls and academic buildings. Separates refuse for proper processing and/or disposal. Operates medium weight vehicles such as open bed, flatbed, and other chassis cab type trucks complying with truck driving rules as well as university policies and procedures. Assigned to special projects as needed.

* Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* 9th Grade Education

* A valid State of Florida or Georgia Driver's License or ability to obtain upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

* The ability to lift 25 lbs. or more, able to work in inclement weather, the ability to drive a box truck.
