The Water Restoration Helper assists in the restoration of properties affected by water damage, including water extraction, drying, and clean-up processes. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals looking to start a career in the restoration industry.Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the set-up and operation of equipment used for water extraction, dehumidification, and drying.- Remove water-damaged materials, including carpets, drywall, and flooring, under supervision.- Clean and sanitize affected areas to prevent mold growth.- Transport and maintain equipment and supplies to and from job sites.- Monitor and document moisture levels, temperatures, and drying progress.- Assist in preparing job sites by moving furniture and protecting undamaged areas.- Follow safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.- Support the lead technician in completing restoration tasks efficiently and effectively.- Communicate effectively with team members and clients on-site.- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent.- Previous experience in water damage restoration or a related field is a plus but not required.- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.- Willingness to work in varying conditions, including wet, damp, or dirty environments.- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team setting.- Must be available for on-call work, including evenings and weekends, as needed.- Must be able to pass background check and drug test**Benefits:**- Competitive hourly pay ranging from $12 to $16 per hour, depending on experience.- Opportunities for overtime and on-the-job training.- Potential for career advancement within the company.- Paid time off and holiday pay.
