This is to ensure the health and safety of all members of the community. This is a full-time year round benefit eligible position. The wage range for this role is $20 - $25/hr, depending on experience.ESSENTIAL DUTIESOperation and maintenance of the drinking water production, treatment, and distribution systemsOperation and maintenance of the wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal systemsMaintain grounds of the facility and all outbuildings including mowing, snow removal, landscaping, cleaning, carpentry, and paintingEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSHigh School diploma or equivalentValid driver's licenseQUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTSAbility to obtain a Vermont State Class 3 Water Systems Operator's license within one year of hire dateAbility to obtain a Vermont State Grade 1 Wastewater Systems Operator's license within one year of hire dateAbility to obtain a Vermont State Class 1 Laboratory Certification within two years of hire dateStrong interpersonal skillsDiverse mechanical skillsBasic reading, writing, and math skillsBasic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systemsExperience with data entry (word, excel)Promptly respond to emergencies and customer complaintsAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditionsStrong ability to problem solveAbility to work independentlyAbility to lift 50 lbsAssist contractors with water and sewer issues relating to repairs and new constructionSome weekends and emergency on call rotationsMust have the ability to respond to the facility within 45 minutes during on call rotationsTRAVEL REQUIREMENTSA valid driver's license is required for this position and successful Motor Vehicle background check.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily- reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.An Equal Opportunity Employer#J-18808-Ljbffr
