Water Fitness Instructor - Hockomock Area YMCA : Job Details

Description The Hockomock Area YMCA's Hurley Family branch in North Attleboro is hiring a water fitness instructor to teach Water Aerobics classes. The Water Fitness Instructor instructs water aerobics classes in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment, promoting member wellness and engagement. Certification is not required, and on-site training is available for committed applicants. Essential Duties:

• Leads energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes
• Builds effective, authentic relationships with members, helping members connect with one another and the YMCA
• Provides a safe and enjoyable environment
• Responds to emergency situations consistent with YMCA policies and procedures
• Keeps accurate class attendance records
• Attends all required instructor in-services
• Is prepared with all necessary supplies to ensure class starts and ends on time

Requirements

• At least one year of experience teaching water fitness classes, preferred
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age for senior classes
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certification within the first 90 days
• YMCA Water Fitness Instructor and YMCA Aquatic Safety Assistant certification, preferred
