Job Description
Title: Field Service Technician – Water Quality System
Summary:
The Field Service Technician – Water Quality System is responsible for delivering field services to the mobile fleet and Water Quality Systems for our customers. The primary focus is to service the Mobile Fleet, by executing commissioning services, decommissioning services, and other maintenance requirements, along with the organization of service and repairs. On the Water Quality System side, provide preventive maintenance services, system disinfection, and water quality testing and sampling.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to interface with internal and external customers and subcontractors.
- Previous experience with water quality testing and services, customer service, and technical ability.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Associate's degree, military training, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of related technical experience desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to understand the technical aspects of Water Quality Systems and the mobile trailer fleet.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings specifying equipment specifications and instructions for use.
- Ability to follow procedures necessary for safe and proper service performance.
- Ability to clearly communicate with customers verbally or via email.
- Highly organized, task-oriented, self-motivated, and energetic.
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs, travel to customer sites throughout the United States, and obtain necessary credentials for customer site entry.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to sit, stand, work in confined spaces, and on ladders.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Execute service activities for Water Quality Systems.
2. Obtain a complete understanding of RO/DI Water Quality Systems.
3. Understand ST108 guidelines and TIR34 recommendations for water quality.
4. Maintain and manage tool inventories used for water quality testing services and mobile fleet services.
5. Provide water testing services, including preventive maintenance, system disinfection, and water sampling as required.
6. Complete and submit all documentation requirements in a complete, timely, and accurate manner, including Field Service Reports, expense reports, PM and service checklists, and timesheets.
7. Coordinate mobile fleet service and water quality testing and maintenance services with the customer.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
9. Provide technical support to end-users and service providers.
10. Travel to customer sites, with travel potentially exceeding 50%.
11. Follow all procedures for service call execution.
12. Manage and collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, and facilities maintenance personnel.
13. Work with engineering, production, and sales teams on technical requirements and requests.
