Water & Wastewater Operator - Town of Jamesville : Job Details

The Town of Jamesville is seeking a Water and Wastewater operator with supervisory skills within thestate of NC. The town is seeking proactive individuals with the ability to function as part of a team orindependently under general supervision. This position is mid to upper level staff position within the town and individuals are expected to use their management, customer service, and analytical skills to identify and resolve issues. This position will supervise personnel and assignments within the public works department, including but not limited to; streets, parks, cemeteries, water/sewer maintenance and installation. Important qualities include: ability to write and communicate effectively, attention to detail, ability to take initiative to complete various tasks, ability to prioritize and assign work assignments, effective supervisory skills, and the ability to evaluate issues from multiple perspectives. Primary duties and responsibilities: operation, maintenance and management of critical water and wastewater infrastructure, insuring a high level of customer service and analyzing situations to identify and resolve issues. Weekend work is required as needed.

• Certification requirements are: Wastewater Grade 2 License, Collection 1, B Well and B Distribution. If applicant doesn't have state certifications, he/she must be willing to attend schools to obtain required certifications.
• The applicant must possess a valid NC Driver's License.
• Minimum requirements are: High School Diploma or GED, able to read and write the English language, basic mathematical calculations.
• Must live within a 45 mile radius of the Town of Jamesville or willing to relocate.
• Starting annual base salary is $35,0000. Salary will increase with required certifications,experience and qualifications.
