DescriptionThe Department of Environmental Studies and Science is seeking two Watershed Interns. Interns will work in the Peekskill Hollow Brook or Pocantico River Watersheds, conducting a variety of watershed studies. They will be responsible for water sample collection, analysis, and data entry, as well as habitat assessments and community engagement. These are part-time positions with flexible scheduling.Position Duties/Responsibilities:
- Water sample collection,
- Water sample analysis,
- Field assessments,
- Developing outreach/educational materials for watershed work.
Requirements
- Applicants should have experience conducting environmental field work and water sampling/testing.
- Interns will need their own transportation to and from field sites.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills
