JOB TITLE: Groundskeeper DEPARTMENT: We-Ko-Pa Golf Club - Maintenance DepartmentREPORTS TO: Assistant Course SuperintendentPOSITION STATUS: Full TimePosition Description:Under the general direction of the Golf Course Superintendent and his Assistants, performs maintenance work necessary for the grounds keeping of the golf courses. Work involves initiation, direction and performance of tasks relating to golf course maintenance; performs related work as required.Essential Functions: Essential functions may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. This list of tasks is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY, and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class.Duties and Responsibilities:1. Provides exceptional guest service to both external and internal guests by maintaining and exhibiting the We-Ko-Pa Way Service Standards: Smile and Greet, name and Meet, Thank You and Goodbye.2. Ability to perform all job tasks related to the Groundskeeper I Job Description at a proficient level.3. Ability to operate all tractors, implements, and mowing equipment.4. Knowledge related to the operation and calibration of fertilizer and seed spreaders.5. Basic knowledge and understanding of irrigation practices related to Turfgrass Management.6. Ability to operate spraying equipment at a proficient level.Additional Duties and Qualifications:1. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instruction and specifications.2. Knowledge of golf course maintenance techniques and proper course conditions.3. Must be able to maintain cooperative working relationships with other employees and departments.4. Exposure to extreme noise, outdoors, confining work space, electrical hazards, vibration, dust, and mechanical hazard.Native American Preference:Preference is given to qualified Tribal Members of the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation.
