Position Overview
We are seeking a creative and strategic Web and Content Specialist with expertise in web management and maintenance, including SEO and analytics. This role requires a mix of technical skills, creative design, and project management to enhance and manage our digital presence, primarily through our website platform and email marketing platform. The ideal candidate will be adept at balancing multiple priorities, maintaining brand consistency, and driving engagement across digital platforms. The Web and Content Specialist will play a critical role in enhancing MNR's digital offerings to our 21,000+ Realtor® members across the state of Minnesota.
Responsibilities
Web Management & Content Strategy:
- Manage, update, and maintain the organization's website using the Higher Logic platform.
- Collaborate with the Communications Director to identify pages for updates, revisions, and future content development.
- Formulate and execute a content roadmap that delivers against communication objectives while aligning with organizational goals.
- Implement SEO best practices, including keyword research, and expand site visibility.
Content Creation & Editorial Support:
- Assist in developing and publishing engaging, SEO-friendly content for web pages, articles, email newsletters, and other digital platforms.
- Revise and edit content to ensure consistency with brand voice and style guidelines.
- Manage project intake and routing, including assisting with editorial calendar.
- Develop new content ideas with the Member Engagement team to drive engagement and traffic.
Digital Engagement & Design:
- Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to create multimedia assets.
- Enhance MNR's digital offerings by identifying opportunities for improvement in format, presentation, and accessibility.
Analytics & Optimization:
- Monitor website traffic, engagement rates, and other performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize content performance and drive user engagement.
- Maintain content repositories within the CMS for easy access and future use.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience: 1-3 years in a similar role.
Core Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to craft clear, engaging copy.
- Expertise in web management systems (e.g., Higher Logic, WordPress, or similar CMS).
- Proficiency in SEO principles, keyword research, and analytics tools like Google Analytics.
- Basic understanding of HTML and design tools (e.g., Adobe InDesign).
- Experience in digital engagement best practices.
- Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in an association or member-based organization (strongly preferred).
- Familiarity with real estate industry and related brokerages.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat DC.
- Proficiency in content management tools like HubSpot, Higher Logic.
- Proficiency in project management tools like Monday.com, Trello.
- Knowledge of file management systems and processes for efficient storage and retrieval.
