Web Tester - RightWorks : Job Details

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is currently updating its website to provide increased relevance, reach, and revenue. We want a web tester with a passion for excellence who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. As a member of the QA team focused on Web initiatives, you will primarily work on testing lls.org website and its components and integrations that bring efficiency, and an improved user experience to our organization. Work will expand to other sites as well. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for creating test plans, coordinating testing activities and work to resolve and troubleshoot problems and bugs. You will perform thorough regression testing on our website when enhancements are made and when bugs are resolved.Reports to: Manager of Quality AssuranceSupervises: NoneDuties and Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: •Conduct comprehensive testing of the website across various browsers, devices, and platforms to ensure functionality and responsiveness •Test Drupal and the created pages in the CMS. •Establish and execute a visual regression process for web initiatives that includes guidance for development teams and automated tests. •Create integration testing tickets following a bundle of delivery. •Collaborate with analysts to refine the acceptance criteria that define the successful completion of a ticket.•Experience with Agile methodology and working with bug tracking tools like JIRA, Xray.•Perform Functional testing of various web-based components •Verify that website elements, such as links, forms, images, and videos, are working correctly and provide an optimal user experience. •Test website navigation, user interface, and overall design for intuitive and user-friendly interactions •Designing and executing tests based on requirements, risk and defects found •Identify and document all system errors. •Maintain a repository of system test plans.•Experience with End-to-end testing, creating/updating regression suites and Integration testing. •Maintain an active knowledge of software testing tools both functional and performance, standards and processes.•Take ownership of and maintain user documentation for web initiatives.•Collaborate with development and design teams to explain identified issues, recommend solutions, and verify bug fixes.•Participate in the development of test cases, test plans, and testing strategies based on initiative requirements and specifications.•Assist in ensuring website compliance with industry standards, accessibility guidelines, and best practices.•Keep up to date with emerging trends, technologies, and advancements in website testing and quality assurance.•Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process Education & Experience Requirements: •Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related field of study; or equivalent education, training & experience •A minimum of 5 years of QA experience in website testing.•Experience with Drupal and other Content Management Systems. •Ability to explain the differences between visual regression, integration, and smoke testing. •Demonstratable experience testing complex websites. •Proven data analysis, data verification and problem-solving abilities.•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.•Must have basic SQL skills and good experience in automated testing tools.•Should possess experience in database concepts and defect tracking tools •Should have good analytical capabilities using modern testing methodologies, SDLC, etc. •Must have the capacity to understand the QA process and work in the software environment Physical Demands & Work Environment:•Must be able and willing to assume occasional on-call assignments related to off-hours system rollout work.•Physical demands are minimal and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations.•Work environment is representative and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations.
