Job Description Client is located in NYC. The first 3 months would be ON-SITE and then remote The Consultant will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the management, maintenance, and support of the Oracle Weblogic Servers on both Red Hat Linux v8 and Windows 2019/2022 Server environments. The ideal candidate must have a strong Red Hat Linux background and be well versed working with Windows. This role aims to ensure the stability, security, and optimal performance of all critical services and applications running on these servers. Any work product developed for implementation by the Consultant shall be subject to approval by the Fund's project manager. B. Responsibilities / Objectives: •Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks within the Oracle Weblogic Servers to ensure smooth and responsive application performance for end-users. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as required. Strong knowledge of Oracle WebLogic Server architecture and administration. Strong knowledge of Oracle Weblogic Server architecture and administration. •Automation and Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages like bash and WLST. •Backup and Recovery Strategy: Develop a comprehensive backup and recovery strategy to safeguard critical data, enable rapid recovery in case of failures, and conduct periodic recovery drills. Test and validate disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity. •Monitoring and Alerts: Work with the Fund's Information Technology (IT) team to set up proactive monitoring using tools to track database health, resource usage, and other vital parameters. Configure alerts for immediate issue identification. •Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain up-to-date documentation AGENCY PIN: 25REQ0113 6 outlining server configurations, security protocols, recovery procedures, and overall outlining server configurations, security protocols, recovery procedures, and overall infrastructure architecture. Collaborate with the Fund's IT team to share knowledge and best practices. •Capacity Planning: Analyze historical usage patterns and forecast future resource requirements to facilitate informed decisions about scaling the infrastructure. •Incident Response and Problem Resolution: Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for escalated incidents and complex problems. Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions to prevent recurrence. •Collaboration and Communication: Collaboration with cross-functioning teams including internal Network Engineers, Red Hat Consultants, Developers, and Security professionals to achieve operational objectives. Communicate technical effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. •Patching and Maintenance: Install Patches and Upgrade Java on a quarterly basis. Work with PPF staff / Management and various consultants to setup schedules and downtime for the servers. Patching the servers will include coordination with PPF DBA staff, network administrators and RedHat Consultants to patch all the other servers in the environment when the Weblogic Servers are being patched. The servers are patched in the following manner: 1. A VMWARE snapshot (backup) must first be taken of all the servers. 2. The Red Hat OS is patched first on all the Servers. 3. Once the OS is patched the Database Servers are patched by the DBAs with the latest Oracle Database patches. 4. The Weblogic servers are patched last with the latest/recommended Weblogic patches include the latest Java version. C. Qualifications and Experience: 1. Education: A Bachelor's/Masters degree in computer science in Information Technology 2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Oracle WebLogic Server administration is essential. This includes: •Installation, configuration, and maintenance of WebLogic Server instances. •Software updates/upgrades and patching •Deployment and management of applications on WebLogic Server. •Performance tuning and troubleshooting. •Security administration and implementation of best practices. •Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., WLST, Jython, Bash) for automation tasks. •Quarterly updates of Certificate and Weblogic user passwords for bendev and dbfs accounts. 3. Oracle Certifications: While not mandatory, the following certifications are desirable: •Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) - Oracle WebLogic Server 12c Administrator

4. Experience: Hands-on experience is crucial. The Fund is seeking candidates with: •10+ years of Proven experience in administering Oracle WebLogic Server in enterprise environments. Version 12.2.1.3.0 or higher. •10+ years of Experience with clustering, load balancing, and high availability configurations. •10+ years of Familiarity with integrating WebLogic Server with other Oracle products and third-party applications. •Incident management and resolution skills, including on-call support if required. •10+ years of experience with REDHAT •10+ years of experience working with Windows Servers 5. Soft Skills: Effective communication skills are important for interacting with stakeholders, documenting processes, and training end-users.
