Together, we are making a difference in people's lives. ~Tony Davis, PresidentJob SummaryAs a member of our hospitality team, the primary role of a Banquet Server is to deliver exceptional customer service to each guest during event service by promptly delivering prepared dishes to the correct tables, refilling water and coffee, and removing empty service items. This role is essential for creating a positive and enjoyable event experience for our guests by creating a positive first impression with a warm smile and addressing guests by name whenever possible. This role is responsible for reading Banquet Event Orders and setting tables correctly with linens, silverware, china, and glassware, serving and following table etiquette guidelines, having knowledge of the menu, and assisting in the breakdown of buffet tables and other food service stations.Detailed Job Summary* Be proficient in reading a Banquet Event Order (BEO) and have the ability to complete table setups according to the event's requirements.* Set tables in the assigned area or ensure that they are correctly and uniformly set, using clean and pressed linen without any rips, stains, or tears. Use clean, unspotted silverware, china, and glassware, ensuring there are no chips or cracks.* Properly clean and replenish table condiments such as salt, pepper, sugar, and bread baskets.* Familiarize oneself with the menu for each function served and be able to explain the major ingredients and preparation methods for each item to be served.* Maintain the station's cleanliness and organization during service, ensuring a tidy and inviting atmosphere for guests.* Continuously patrol the assigned station, promptly refilling water and coffee, removing service items, and following established policies and procedures. Regularly check on guests to anticipate and fulfill their needs.* Follow proper in-room clearing and aisle tray break-down procedures to maintain efficient service and a clutter-free environment.* Collect and return all reusable table condiments for cleaning and refilling as needed.* Assist the Banquet Captain or Maître d' in breaking down buffet or other special food service tables and equipment after events.* Participate in setting up, serving, and breaking down coffee breaks, receptions, and other special functions as assigned.* Assist with setting up, tending, and breaking down banquet bars as required.* Work with the Banquet Captain or Banquet Manager to set up buffet and other special food service tables/stations according to event requirements.* Welcome and serve guests with an Aggressive Hospitality approach, following all policies and procedures regarding food and beverage service.* Adhere to guest check and money-handling procedures while serving a la carte and beverage orders.* Utilize Suggestive Selling techniques when appropriate, such as promoting a la carte wine, mixed drinks, after-dinner cordials, and coffees.* Complete any assigned side work, which may include refilling condiments, sorting linen, hanging/sorting drapes, cleaning/storing serving equipment, and other related tasks.Our Benefits Include:* Comprehensive Health Insurance - Medical, Dental, Vision, as well as Voluntary Benefits including Short Term/Long Term Disability and Supplemental Life Insurance* 401K with Company Match* Employer Paid Life Insurance* Complimentary Employee Assistance Program* Paid Time Off to include Vacation, Personal, Sick, & Holidays* Discounted Hotel, Spa, Golf, Retail, and Food & Beverage* Tuition Reimbursement Program* PCH University & Professional Development Series* Associate Referral ProgramOur Culture:Our team embodies service that spans beyond typical hospitality.
