Weekend Dispatcher - Morrison Express : Job Details

*** MUST BE ABLE TO WORK SATURDAYS, SUNDAYS, and MONDAYS ***

Role & Responsibilities:

• Ensure all customer KPI s are met daily
• Load planning/building loads, communicating heavily with team members for consolidation opportunities
• Build & maintain relationships with Carriers
• Negotiate & book trucks in the most cost-effective ways while following customer requirements and insuring on time delivery
• Create BOL s/Delivery Orders in a timely manner, making sure Customs Clearances are in hand before releasing goods
• Data Entry, enter milestones into Morrison system in a timely manner
• Answer emails in a timely & professional manner
• Track and trace orders and enter & upload POD information into the system once delivered
• Approve invoices
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years in a dispatch or truck brokerage environment negotiating rates and booking Dry Vans, Straight Trucks and Sprinter/Cargo Vans with carriers.
• Good knowledge of Excel
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced working environment with a Good Can-Do Attitude
• Good Time Management with attention to detail
• Looking for a detail-oriented individual with the ability to maintain a good positive attitude towards employees, customers, and carriers with the willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done.
