Weekend Only Recreation Leader - Morris Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center : Job Details

Morris Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center located in the Pelham Gardens section of the Bronx is seeking a part-time Recreation Leader for weekends only (Saturday & Sunday from 11am -7pm with occasional weeknights and holidays as needed. Applicants must have previous experience working in a Long-Term Care setting.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Plan, organize and lead a wide variety of recreational activities programs

Escort and/or transport resident to/from activities as needed

Assist in decorating for parties, special events and seasonal occasions

Record resident attendances in activities

Complete assigned paperwork in a timely manner

Provide sensory stimulation

Qualifications

Available to work every Saturday and Sunday

Recreation Experience in Long Term Care setting

Dependable

Wanting to further their knowledge in the aspects of residents quality of life.

Must be flexible in work schedule

Must be proficient and have an intermediate level in computer skills

Must be energetic, upbeat and have a positive attitude towards other
