To represent Rehab Services on a unit; provide weekend programming to admissions units; plan and conduct 16 hours of psychosocial rehabilitation interventions per week, according to approved schedules. Ensures that interventions are appropriate to individual client's age, interest and ability as reflected by assessment data; function as a Rehab Representative on assigned unit and attends treatment team meetings to provide process report; and provide on and off unit contact hours and assists with special events as requested. This position will also conduct one patient satisfaction survey quarterly per group; plan, organize, and implement programs for weekend on-unit/off-unit program. Follows approved weekend schedules; review weekend Activity Planning Form for programming. Accountable for completing evaluation forms at the end of each shift; and attend at least 6 hours of in-service training throughout the year. This position is eligible for:- paid time off- retirement with cash match- life insurance- health, vision, and dental insurance Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent- considerable knowledge of psychiatric disabilities, personality development and behaviors, recreational and activity programs- ability to involve clients in therapeutic activities and knowledge of various modalities such as fitness, sports, wellness, social skills, music and arts/crafts- knowledge of recovery-focused treatment- ability to communicate clearly and work independently and in a team setting with diverse population and experience working with a multi-disciplinary team- computer skills, including Microsoft Office, electronic medical record databases, and documentation programs- ability to plan and facilitate structured group activities and ability to manage clients in challenging social situations- ability to perform essential functions of this position, which include: repetitious walking, sitting and /or standing as part of routine work; visual acuity to observe and report changes in client's behaviors on a continuous basis; bending, lifting, and reaching overhead to position, restrain, transfer, transport or escort patients and to assist patients to perform activitiesAdditional Considerations- college courses in psychology, recreational therapy, mental health, education, and/or a related field or equivalent experience- bilingual- veteranSpecial InstructionsYou will be provided a confirmation of receipt when your application and/or rsum is submitted successfully.
