SUMMARY: The Sanitation Employee is responsible for directing the cleanliness of the facility and its equipment. Some operations of the equipment will be needed as it will need to be moved to clean all areas. The sanitation Lead will work with other sanitation employees and ensure they know all about the chemicals used and the hazards that go along with those chemicals before using. The sanitation lead insures all GMP, and other sanitation protective clothing should be followed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Always follow all Company Safety policies and procedures.
  • Follows all Sanitation standard operating procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring all areas are cleaned (equipment, tools, trash dock, floors, drains and any other areas you may be asked to clean).
  • Make sure all sanitation documentation is signed and turned in at the end of completion.
  • Ensure/verify labels for any chemical being used on any bucket, spray bottle, foamer or jug.
  • Supports established GMP's, SQF, HACCP, and housekeeping standards for all work areas.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Leads and directs all direct reporting individuals.   • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience working in a factory or production environment is a plus
  • Experience working around mixing and conveying systems is a plus
  • Experience in Sanitation Cleaning in a plus
Computer and Technology Skills: Experience using HMI (Human Machine Interface) on machinery is a plus but not required. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. German language speaking skills is another advantage. Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and ability to apply concepts such as: fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
