Material HandlerPurpose of positionUnder general supervision, check, store and organize materials from the warehouse.Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however, employees may perform other related duties, and not allduties listed are necessarily performed by each employee in the job title:* Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas* Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, or product code* Restock material in assigned bin location; or fill requisitions for materials and distribute items to designated delivery trucks* Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together; package orders for shipping, pick up or truck delivery* Measure, cut and package material* Complete Material Movement paperwork* Open boxes, crates, and other containers* Examine stock for deterioration and defects, and reports findings* Assist in counting of physical inventory* Inspect Raymond truck daily for damages and report findings* Load and operate Raymond trucks and fork-lifts; load trucks for next day deliveries* Keep warehouse and work area organized at all times* Comply with Company and OSHA policies; participate in safety and accident preventative meetings* Wear safety equipment at all times - MUST wear hardhat at all times during work hours* Perform facilities maintenance duties as needed* Other duties may be assigned to meet business needsQualifications:* Fork Truck experience a plus, but not necessary* Basic math skills* Read tape measureMust be able to work Monday-Friday, 2nd shift 3pm to 11:30pmLift and carry heavy material up to 75 lbs; climb, crawl, and stoop to reach material; bend at the waist, kneel or crouch for extended periods of time; reach overhead, above the shoulders and horizontallyWe are an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone is valued and has equal access to opportunities.WE ARE A DRUG FREE WORKPLACE AND AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
