Weld Trainee - Federal Signal Corporation : Job Details

We are offering a fully paid Welding School program where we pay you to learn to weld! NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! This program is typically 120-160 hours, or 3-4 weeks in length. While in welding school, you'll be paid while you're learning to weld. Upon successful completion of the program and weld test, you'll receive an offer of promotion to a full-time welder. Once offered a full-time welding role; job responsibilities are as follows: Essential Duties: - Using jib crane, overhead crane, slings or manual lifting, move components into proper position. - Lay out, position, and align truck body components using work orders. - Clamp and/or tack weld parts to secure in position for welding - Measure to ensure accuracy - Using a wire-feed welder, join components ensuring quality weld - Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned. - Floor Prep - Cut floor to proper spec, use overhead crane to transfer floor to flip table, use over headcrane to position frame on top of flo...Trainee, Welding, Welder
