Work with various materials, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, using different welding techniques and equipment. Ensure T.D. Williamson (TDW) products meet the highest standards of quality and durability.Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform MIG, TIF, and/or stick welding on metal components and assemblies according to blueprints, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to accurately complete welding tasks.
  • Inspect welds for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to specifications; conduct tests to ensure welds meet required standards.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools, including setting up machines, changing electrodes, and ensuring proper functioning.
  • Prepare materials for wielding by cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces; handle and store materials safely and efficiently.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment; report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
  • Work closely with others to ensure timely completion of projects and resolve any welding-related issues.
Experience
  • High School Diploma and one (1) year of MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding experience or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry preferred.
  • Welding certification(s) from an accredited institution or organization preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Working knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Excellent precision and accuracy in welding tasks including a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
