Welder - Strom Minnesota : Job Details

Strom Engineering Minnesota has exciting opening for a TIG/MIG Welders for an excellent company located in the Twin Cities, MN . This is a bench welding position. Seeking candidates with experience in thin gauge material and making jigs and fixtures for new samples and comfortable with production runs.

Duties: * Weld components and assemblies using TIG and MIG on mild and stainless steel.

* Set-up welding machines based on specific welding instructions.

* Read, interpret and perform welding techniques to fabricate parts.

* Perform final assembly to produce high-quality finished products.

* Examine completed work for defects and measure pieces with straightedges and templates to ensure conformance with specifications, report nonconforming material to team lead for quality assurance. * Adhere to all safety requirements and protocols.

* Review program specifications or blueprints to determine and set machine operations and sequencing, finished work piece dimensions, and/or numerical control sequences.

* Calculate machine speed and feed ratios and the size and position of cuts.

* Apply competencies in welding and utilize a controller to operate the robotic machine.
