Welder
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Welder to custom fabricate and work on shell and tube heat exchangers, ASME Pressure Vessels, and Tanks up to 15' in diameter, 120 feet in length, and up to 320,000 pounds. The role primarily involves MIG flux-core welding on a variety of metals including stainless, carbon, and precious metals, as well as some TIG welding and fitting if trained. The candidate must be experienced in code welding and blueprint reading.
Responsibilities
Perform welding tasks to custom fabricate products.
Work on shell and tube heat exchangers, ASME Pressure Vessels, and Tanks.
Conduct MIG flux-core welding on various metals.
Utilize 045 wire welding techniques.
Engage in TIG welding and fitting if trained.
Execute code welding tasks.
Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
Essential Skills
Experience in welding fabricated heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and tanks.
Proficiency in fabricating steel products.
Ability to read blueprints and understand weld symbols.
Knowledge of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division 1 is a plus.
Physical capability to lift 50+ pounds.
Comfortable working at heights, welding 15ft - 20ft in the air.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in layout and fabrication welding.
Code welding certification is advantageous.
AWS certification is beneficial.
Welding school degree or certifications.
Experience welding on tanks/vessels.
Skills in TIG tubing, Sub-arc (S.A.W.), and back gouging.

Work Environment
The position operates across 4 buildings on a 6-acre site with 50,000 square feet of production floor space. The largest products handled are over 100 feet in length and weigh more than 60 tons. The work schedule is 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00
