Ability to perform advanced welding and fabrication tasks as assigned with minimal guidance or supervision. Ability to meet or exceed routed hours with minimal quality errors. Highly proficient at following and looking up weld procedures, work instructions, and inspection criteria. Demonstrate the ability to meet routed hours with acceptable quality. MAJOR DUTIES:
Welds and fabricates basic to advanced weldments with minimal quality errors (as outlined in LSSI stamping discipline procedure as well as dimensional nonconformance) Work from advanced drawings and job layouts (multiple pages/drawings)Understand and read weld symbolsAdvanced crane operations and rigging - larger, most complexPerform quality checks throughout processOperate hand burn plasma and torchUnderstand and apply weld sequencingAdvanced fabrication techniques and application on larger, most complexAdvanced straightening techniquesTrain and mentor other employeesOther duties as assignedPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift, push or pull up to 60 pounds
- Long periods of standing, kneeling, and climbing.
