Welder BUSINESS: Refinery Valve, TapcoEnpro LOCATION: Channelview DIRECT REPORTING: Operations Supervisor POSITION DETAILS Position Summary Welds fabricated or prefabricated parts according to instructions using various welding techniques under minimum supervision. Principal Activities

• Knows proper fit up position of work to be welded; reads, interprets and refers to weld procedures as
• Sets up and operates various welding machines including stick, mig, and flux core to complete fabricated
• Set up welding machines and select the proper settings for the material and thickness being
• Adjusts welding machines to maintain optimum operating
• Position and secure workpieces using clamps, fixtures, and other tools to achieve the desired configuration.
• Operates overhead cranes to transport materials within the fabrication shop as well as position materials for
• Performs arc gouging, grinding and scaling to facilitate

Job Requirements:CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Previous experience with ASME certified equipment
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, specifications, cut sheets, welding symbol,
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Ability work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods
• Good vision and hearing to recognize potential hazards and ensure quality welds

Education & Experience

• Knowledge of welding methods, materials, and practices
• Previous experience with ASME certified equipment and qualification under ASME standards
