Job Description :

TIG Welders are responsible for performing a variety of welds to fabricate aerospace engine parts. Essential functions of the position include:

  • TIG Weld various material types together based on customer specifications
  • Visually inspect parts and materials during the production process
  • Basic computer skills
  • Read and interpret blue prints and customer specifications
  • Use of calipers, micrometers, height stands, and indicators
  • Daily housekeeping/6S duties
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications for the position include:
  • Successful completion of internal welding certifications using different types of material from .010 - .060 thick in various welding positions
  • Prior TIG welding experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability with basic math skills
  • Demonstrated mechanical ability
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills is preferred
  • While performing duties of the job, the employee is required with or without accommodation to:
    • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
    • Frequently required to stand and walk and occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
    • Frequently required to use hands to handle, feel, and reach
