Job SummaryThese Certificated positions are at Barstow Jr. High School and Barstow High School.Job Description / Essential Elements: Job SummaryUnder the direction of the assigned administrator(s) and as part of a site-wide collaborative Culturally-Relevant PBIS program, this certificated teacher serves in an intervention position full-time, performing tasks as assigned by that supervisor(s). The teacher implements evidence-based behavioral interventions and strategies, works with students who need temporary classroom reassignments for a variety of reasons, coordinates behavioral interventions and supports, and provides access and instructional support to grade-level curriculum and assistance with that curriculum in an alternate setting as appropriate. The teacher tracks and documents student attendance in the Wellness Center at all times, communicates with parents and guardians of students, and collaborates with classroom teachers and the assigned administrator(s) to ensure all students have access to grade-level curriculum when they are not in their regular classroom settings. In terms of behavioral interventions, the teacher also works collaboratively with the discipline office, guidance office, and assigned administrator(s) to document behavioral responses and interventions. Requirements / Qualifications1. Must possess a valid California Teaching Credential.2. EDJOIN Application Must Include: a copy of transcripts, copy of appropriate credential, copies of all test results; CBEST and CSETs, etc.3.
