Wellness Program Specialist I - Fairfax County Public Schools : Job Details

DescriptionPerforms a variety of professional duties required to develop the communications and delivery of wellness programming for Fairfax County Public Schools' employees; and ensures smooth program operations for wellness programming and employee health initiatives.QualificationsRequired

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a health or wellness-related field.
• One (1) year of experience in the health or wellness field.
  • Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
• Knowledge of practices, procedures, and policies of the wellness function.
• Effective organizational skills; ability to multi-task.
• Proficiency in the use of technology and data compilation and analysis.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to exercise tact, judgment, and initiative.
• Ability to deal quickly and accurately with quantitative information and verify the correctness of actions.

Preferred

• Experience in social media, desktop publishing, Adobe InDesign, virtual conferencing, G Suite, and Microsoft Suite.
