Position Title: Commercial LenderReports To: Regional President/Senior Commercial Loan OfficerGeneral Purpose:Works with senior management, department heads, loan officers and branch staff to develop additional business for the bank across all lines of business. The primary focus will be making and servicing commercial loans while seeking to also develop all lines of business.Responsibilities:
- Calling on existing customers to secure relationships and search for new opportunities within our current customer base. The goal would be to deepen existing relationships with current customers and also seeking referrals from that group.
- Calling on prospective customers to secure new relationships for the bank. The goal would be to add new customers across all lines of business.
- Be involved in community functions and civic organizations. The goal is to be a good ambassador for the bank and be active in the communities we serve.
- Obtains all necessary financial data to make decisions on loans and terms if within own lending limits and works with other lenders on larger credits.
- Work with customers to close loans as needed.
Qualifications:Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Commercial lending and/or credit analyst experience preferred
- Prior banking/financial services experience required
- Strong community involvement and/or resident of market served preferred
