Our holistic model also extends assistance to shelter, energy, weatherization, HIV and AIDS counseling, home visits, and mobile medical/dental clinics.Explore our short clips, WE are Yakima - WE are Family and YVFWC - And then we grew, for a glimpse into our dedication to our communities, health, and families.What We Offer* $19.05-$23.34/hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates* 100% employer-paid health insurance including medical, dental, vision, Rx, 24/7 telemedicine* Profit sharing & 403(b) retirement plan available* Generous PTO, eight paid holidays, and much more!* 4% differential for bilingual skills!As a WIC Certifier, your tasks will include:* Educating clients about the WIC program and benefits and assessing eligibility* Conducting health evaluations and providing nutrition recommendations and counseling* Referring clients to other services as needed and maintaining accurate records* Providing customer service and community outreach while ensuring quality assurance and compliance with regulatory standardsQualifications:* Education: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)* Experience:* One year of customer service experience. An associate's degree may replace experience.* Experience in reception, nutrition education, working with children/infants, or being a previous WIC certifier or educator is preferred!* Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:* Bilingual (English/Spanish) required at level 9 to receive bilingual differential pay* Effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills* Ability to prioritize work and handle various tasks simultaneously, with frequent interruptions* Ability to effectively and professionally interact with women, caregivers, infants, children, and staff* General knowledge in culturally appropriate practice* Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records.* Knowledge about basic nutrition concepts desiredOur mission celebrates diversity.
