Seeds Wilderness Therapy (Seeds) works with families with troubled teens. We take teens on an intensive 40 day backpacking experience. The process includes what we refer to as Retreat, Restore, Revive. Seeds is distinctly Christian and as such combines the best practices in wilderness therapy with the teachings of Jesus and solid discipleship.The role will involve the planning and support of staffing, food, transportation, and gear going into the wilderness. The positions will interact with the Executive Director and the Director of Operations. and the job will encompass a variety of duties.As a leader in a ministry, the Logistic Manager will support the discipleship and spiritual formation for field staff as well as students. Field support is secondary. The duties and expectations include:
- Participate in regular staff training throughout the year.
- Develop the menu plan in collaboration with the nutritionist, ED, and feedback received from field staff.
- Create master shopping lists for food and gear depending upon the number of students and the needs of the team.
- Maintains organized gear, clothing, and food systems.
- Order gear, inventory, food & supplies as needed to optimize the operations and field support.
- Lead food shopping and pack out for trips - working directly with participants and instructors.
- Make recommendations for the annual budget and operate within the allocated budget for the year.
- Lead staff devotions and pray with team members as needed.
- Lead gear and clothing prep and pack out - working directly with participants and instructors.
- Coordinate trash pick up and disposal.
- Lead gear and laundry clean up each week.
- Organizing additional gear as needed.
- Schedule drivers to drop off and pick up gear and supplies from the field.
- Fleet management - ensure vehicles are maintained properly, provide driver training, daily inspections, fuel monitoring, etc.
- Repair gear, keep first aid kits stocked and organized.
- Uphold the Seeds Wilderness Therapy mission through the modeling of confidence, leadership, authenticity, and self-expression.
- Have an understanding of Christian issues and topics. Participate and contribute to group discussions, promote awareness, and engaged in teachable moments surrounding these issues.
- Responsible for a smooth process and coordination of student intake.
- Coordinates parent visit logistics and graduation logistics with Field Director.
- This position may include supervising up to 8 drivers and 2 summer interns, depending on the candidate's experience level.
- Work long hours on occasion. Standing for long hours.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Utilize Basecamp and other systems to manage to do's and track inventory.
- Conduct physical inventory twice per year.
- Monitor field conditions during extreme weather and provide backup options for students and staff.
- Ability to have open, honest, and sometimes difficult conversations, including the ability to give and receive feedback.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule and may require to work early or late into the day.
- Meet or exceed state requirements as it pertains to nutrition, equipment and supplies see state rules 7.705.98 and 7.705.99.
Skills
- Experienced with google apps.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and respond calmly to emergencies.

- Inventory management.
- Quickbooks experience is a plus.
- Experience driving vehicles with manual transmissions and 4x4 locking hubs(preferred).

Qualifications
- College degree (preferred).
- Fluent English - both oral and written.
- 3 years of wilderness logistics experience (preferred.)
- 1+ years of extensive and comparable experiences in risk management, educational, and outdoor skills.
- Experience driving vehicles with manual transmissions and or locking hubs (preferred).
- Possess a current Wilderness First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain it.
- Experience driving large vehicles and/or towing a trailer (preferred).
- Ability to carry and load/unload weights up to 50lbs.
