The primary purpose of this job is to perform Windows engineering specific activities and tasks associated with the replacement of Windows Server 2016 systems -or- in-place upgrade to Windows Server 2019/2022. This requires close collaboration with both Technical and non-technical applications owners, Server Ops, DBA, Network, and Security counterparts, and as well as other stakeholders.
- Senior level experience with Windows Server 2016 and above
- Senior level experience with the Windows Registry and SSL/TLS configurations
- Senior level experience with Windows Networking configurations
- Strong background with Active Directory, OUs, and Group Policies
- Strong background with Microsoft IIS
- Strong background with building servers and snapshots in VMware virtualized environments
- Strong background with building bare metal physical servers
- Strong background with scripting (VBS, Batch files, Windows Script Host, and PowerShell)
- Technical understanding of SCCM, Task Sequences, App & Package Deployments
- Technical understanding of VMware vCenter, and SAN Storage
- Technical understanding of Networking and Firewall concepts
- Technical understanding of Security agent exclusions and whitelists
- Technical understanding of Cybersecurity best practices and secure baselines
- Technical understanding of Change Management processes and procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for both Technical and Non-Technical audiences
- Strong background using Outlook, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneNote, Excel, and Word.
- Work in a Team environment, but also on independent tasks w/ minimal supervision
Qualifications
- Microsoft MCSE, MCSA preferred.
- ITIL Foundation preferred.
- Other related professional certifications are a plus
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in related field is preferred.
- In lieu of a degree, a combination of education and a minimum of six (6) years of related work experience is required that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to perform all the essential job functions.
- Demonstrated understanding of Network, Compute, Storage, Cloud and End-User technologies.
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving and multi-tasking skills desired.
- Familiarity with CIS Benchmark guidelines for Microsoft Windows OS
- Must be capable to provide solutions to identified systems issues.

Compensation and Benefits
A candidate's pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
