OBJECTIVE

Directs, administers, and coordinates the activities of the Operations organization in support of policies, goals, and objectives established by the organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, servicing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.
  • Coordinates service activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
  • Directs activities concerned with providing technical services such as electrical well logging, gun perforating, caliper surveying, retrievable bridge plugs and to assist in solving special oil well drilling and production problems.
  • Along with subordinate managers, ensures the readiness and availability of all equipment (job trailers, pressure control equipment, wireline trucks, cranes, pickups, glycol units, etc).
  • Actively participate in pre and post job completion with crews coming in and off shift.
  • Conduct field visits once a week to maintain employee engagement and morale.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Actively engage with support functions (DOT, HSE, HR) to ensure compliance and readiness of operations employees and work to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Observes safety and security procedures, and ensures the same for others in the organization.
  • Ensure all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ensures established service commitments are met.
  • Assists in the preparation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based on broad corporate goals and growth objectives.
  • Ensures operating policies are consistent with Company policies and objectives and ensures their execution.
  • Evaluates the results of overall operations regularly and systematically and reports these results to senior management.
  • Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.
  • Ensures that all organization activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations.
  • Advises on specific servicing problems and recommends use of specialized tools, techniques, and services.
  • Carries out current and long range objectives, plans, and policies, as directed by senior management.
  • Reviews operating results of the organization, compares them to established objectives, and takes steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to achieve satisfactory results.
  • Maintains an effective system of communications throughout the Operations group.
  • Assists in analysis of new technologies and runs competitive analyses.
  • Represents organization with customers.
  • Authorizes procurement of equipment, materials, and supplies required for operations and maintenance as directed.
  • Manages 5+ subordinate supervisors
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Works with others to looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
  • Provides regular performance feedback and develops subordinates' skills
  • Solicits and applies customer feedback (internal and external).

EXPERIENCE

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years related experience.
  • Valid drivers license, current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat and Airbrake Endorsement preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge in Pump Down and Logging Operations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Wireline Tools.
