JOB TITLE: WISe MENTAL HEALTH THERAPISTDEPARTMENT: WISeSUPERVISOR: Clinical Director/Clinical SupervisorFLSA/TYPE: Non-exemptSUPERVISES: NAJOB SUMMARY: Provide professional mental health services in a community setting, performing assessment, treatment, and community outreach to individuals and groups in a culturally competent manner in accord with best treatment practices. The WISe therapist will work as part of a team to assist children/youth and their families who are at risk of out-of-home placement, hospitalization, etc. to help maintain them in the community when clinically appropriate. The WISe therapist will carry a combined caseload of regular mental health clients as well as any children/youth that are eligible for Wraparound with Intensive Services (WISe); therefore, this positions caseload will be slightly smaller in order to accommodate the increased demand of the more intensive client needs. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Follow Willapa Behavioral Health & Wellness Service Excellence Standards / Code of Ethics and Policies and Procedures.
  • Adhere to rules of confidentiality.
  • Respect and accommodate a diverse population.
  • Maintain appropriate boundaries with clients and staff.
  • Work on-site as necessary or remotely using telehealth technology as determined by management.
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide direct mental health treatment to consumers who are assigned. Provide best practice treatment modalities that are kept within Agency philosophy and policies, and within State and County guidelines.
  • Assist clients in developing their Recovery Plan which includes identifying goals, objectives, strengths and modes of treatment. Each client will have a recovery plan developed within 30 days of intake and will be updated every 180 days.
  • Provide face to face contact with consumers, their families and community supports. Submit service reports on a daily basis. Meet productivity requirements.
  • Plan, implement, coordinate treatment to support client mental health. Monitor all documentation activities for assigned clients keeping with Agency philosophy and policies, State and County guidelines. Participate in QA activities. Assigned consumer files are kept at 90% compliance.
  • Participates in clinical, planning, staff, and administration meetings as required. Regularly attends and contributes at meetings. Be in attendance at all meetings within 5 minutes of appointed time 90% of the time. .
  • Participates with other WBH programs and with other community agencies. Attendcommunity meetings related to clients as needed. Plan and assist in facilitating multi-disciplinary team meetings in accordance with WISe protocols.
  • Attend Professional conferences and workshops as appropriate to responsibilities of position and program needs. Develop clinical expertise. Become and/or maintain certification in WISe.
  • Participate in crisis response rotation between WISe team providing 24/7 crisis response to clients, responding over the phone or in person as needed.
  • Will provide client centered care to all clients, staff and community partners with dignity and respect. Keep appointment schedule up to date and accessible to office staff and will keep all appointments within 5 minutes of the appointed time at least 90% of the time. Return all phone calls within the next business day.
  • RequirementsJOB REQUIREMENTS:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field.
  • A minimum of at least 2 years post graduate in the mental health field.
  • Current registered/certification/ license.
  • Experience in providing counseling services to individuals and groups.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer proficiency to document in the electronic medical record (EMR) and utilize telehealth and Microsoft office suite.
  • Undergo and pass criminal background check upon initial employment and any subsequent checks required by the agency.
  • Meet requirements of agency's drug free workplace policy.
  • Excellent customer service with a client focus.
  • Able to sit, stand and move for long hours at a time and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Able to drive in daylight, darkness, and typical Northwest weather conditions.
  • Flexible to fill-in shifts if needed. Meet the current Washington health care vaccination requirements for health care workers.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Demonstrate ability to do differential diagnosis using DSM-V.
  • Knowledge of and skill with using evidence-based therapeutic techniques
  • Ability to do crisis intervention and ITA investigation.
