Job Title:Word Processing OperatorLocation:New York, NYSalary:$90,000 - $95,000 (non-exempt)Position Type:Full-time, Hybrid (3 days in office)Hours:9:30am - 5:30pmJob Description:SourceProSearch is seeking a Word Processing Operator to join the team in New York City. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing general document services assistance, including the preparation of complex legal documents, troubleshooting electronic files, and generating reports. This is a daytime role with a hybrid schedule, requiring the candidate to be in the office three days per week.Responsibilities:Create and revise legal documents using Microsoft Office, ensuring accuracy and adherence to court or government agency requirements and firm guidelinesGenerate Table of Contents, Table of Authorities, and merges in WordCombine tracked changes from multiple authorsTranscribe audio or video recordings into textConvert documents to and from Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat PDFAdd images, text, comments, and highlighting in PDFs, and insert, remove, and reorganize pagesCreate and modify form fields in Adobe AcrobatAssist with data entry and running reports from the conflicts management systemPerform additional responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor and/or AttorneysAvailability for overtime as neededKnowledge and Skills Requirements:Expert-level experience with MS WordHigh proficiency in Excel and PowerPointHigh proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro; working knowledge of Adobe CC a plusProficient in office equipment including computers, printers, scanners, copy machines, and telephonesAbility to work independently and follow oral and written instructions accuratelyExcellent written and oral communication skills, including grammar, spelling, and punctuationAbility to work with deadline-sensitive assignments and rapidly changing prioritiesMinimum 5 years of litigation experience in a law firm environmentIf you are a highly skilled Word Processing Operator with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply.
