This role combines Workday expertise with financial systems knowledge to support and optimize our accounting and financial processes. In this position, you will be working to develop a detailed understanding of our financial and core banking systems, products, and services, while managing communication between various teams. Successful candidate will have a passion for excellence, be self-motivated, and possess the ability to multitask, work independently, and prioritize workload. Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills are necessary. Candidate must also thrive in a fast paced, dynamic and collaborative environment, and is interested in learning about all aspects of the firm.Key Responsibilities:Workday and System Administration
  • Manage and optimize Workday configurations, including business process modifications and security administration
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and associated mappings from external systems
  • Administer Blackline and other financial tools
  • Prepare monthly audits for accounting system chart of accounts and security modifications
  • Maintain documentation repositories for system processes and configurations
Financial Systems Support
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Workday and related financial systems
  • Analyze complex financial data from multiple systems to address technical accounting issues
  • Prepare automated account reconciliation reports involving core banking systems
  • Conduct research on variances and discrepancies across financial systems
  • Provide training and support to end-users on the effective use of Workday and related financial tools
Process Improvement and Collaboration
  • Assist in the adoption, implementation, and ongoing review of new procedures and automation initiatives
  • Lead ad hoc data projects and cross-collaborate with finance and accounting teams for reporting requirements
  • Compile data and conduct research for internal and external audit teams
  • Support daily and monthly accounting activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Work effectively in a collaborative and innovative team-oriented environment
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, or related field; equivalent experience considered
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting system support experience
  • Strong proficiency in Workday Financial, with experience in system administration and configuration highly desired. Knowledge of Prism and Accounting Center is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial systems
  • Knowledge of relational databases and proficiency in SQL preferred
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Access, and Visio
  • Experience with Blackline Account Reconciliation system administration a plus
  • Financial Services industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex information
  • Strong knowledge of basic accounting functionality
  • Highly motivated and detail-oriented with keen analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to manage relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in advanced math computation
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and process optimization
