Position Overview: Spencer Thomas Group (STG) is currently looking to add to our team of consultants under our Global HCM Practice. Our client is looking for an experienced Workday developer to be responsible for developing interfaces and PECI development between Workday and ADP Payroll solutions. The first ADP GlobalView implementation project in South Africa, followed by other countries in all regions. This role ensures strong integration between technology landscapes, and business requirements, acting as the primary interface development lead from the Workday HCM system. Responsibilities:
Participate in requirements gathering and other Project related meetings and calls; Development of interface/integration code (PECI or other) to create employee files from Workday to ADP Participate in Design of Technical Specifications documents; Participation and assistence of Test Scripts as defined by the Test Lead/Team; Help create documented testing scenarios to be used for Unit and UAT testing; Participation, execution, and guidance for UAT testing and Parallel testing; Support of Workday files during go-live cutover to ADP, per country, and hyper-care support; Documentation of integration development to ensure ongoing support; Validate /update current code for integration based on test results - Client-Side Support
- Provide guidance and best practice advice to Client;
- Report to Project Leadership as defined by Project Governance Structure;
- Communicate possible Project delays to Project Leadership;
- Participate in Knowledge Transfer, Training activities and documentation where required;
Required Qualification(s):
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Workday technical support and development n payroll or HRIS implementation projects.
- Expertise in global payroll systems, especially ADP GlobalView
- Strong understanding of Workday, PECI files, and related integrations..
- Good communication and English speaking skills.
- English speaking
- Highly preferred to be based in EMEA to cover South Africa timezone initially.
Duration: This is a project-based consulting opportunity with a start date of March 1, 2025 with an initial duration through October 31, 2025 , with the possibility of extending. Preferred Qualification(s):
