Summary: The Workday Quality Assurance Release and Test Lead will be responsible for the Workday quality assurance and release management program. The role will be responsible for developing Workday program test strategy and executing testing procedures for a full platform implementation and ongoing regression testing. They will also be the release manager going forward, responsible for regression testing and determining the uptake of new Workday features during Workday's releases. Additional responsibilities include tenant management and owning the production migration process. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders across multiple business and technical disciplines to develop and execute a comprehensive test strategy and will manage test execution to ensure successful delivery of the Workday suite of applications. This role manages Workday adoption planning and provides input for the roadmap. Other information:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 5 years of Workday experience specifically testing Workday, preferably with a healthcare provider or higher education.
  • Demonstrable successful Workday ERP implementation project and optimization experience as a test lead.
  • Experience with Workday implementation and testing methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate and manage in a matrix organization with multiple business partners and IT teams.
  • Workday certifications desirable or equivalent experience
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive test strategy for Workday implementation and a test strategy that is sustainable and measurable.
  • Manage the execution of test cases, and Workday releases ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and technical requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze test results, identifying and addressing issues promptly.
  • Develop and implement automated testing processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Conduct reviews of testing processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans outlining the scope, objectives, resources, and schedule.
  • Define testing strategies, methodologies, and test execution processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish testing goals and acceptance criteria.
  • Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks to project stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and business analysts. Publish defect matrix.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional, development and product teams to resolve defects and improve software quality.
  • Manages and prioritizes project-based work including release management (weekly, semi-annual, retirements) and the assessment of new product features.
  • Document new and updated test scenario descriptions in the test system.
  • Identify and assess potential risks related to testing and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively address and resolve issues impacting the testing process or project timelines.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive testing documentation, including test plans, cases, and reports.
  • Ensure that all testing activities are well-documented for future reference and audits.
  • Communicate with the PM and external third-party application owners' test schedules, including scheduling meetings.
  • Secure final sign-off for system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Provide input to the testing dashboard and reports design.
  • Accountable for group achieving 100% compliance with project and environment change control procedures.
  • Responsible for quality control of change control submissions from the group.
  • Accountable for group representation at key service management meetings, including Change Control, and others as assigned.
  • Executes tasks centric to achieving the mission and vision of the Workday product.
  • Plans and coordinates release management activity and communication with workstream leads.
  • Acts as the primary migration administrator/coordinator for moves to production to ensure the quality of the Workday product.
