I further understand that no representative of the District, other than the Superintendent or designee, has any authority to enter into any agreement, oral or written, for employment for any specified period of time, or to make any assurance of continued employment. I have been notified that a computerized criminal history (CCH) verification check will be performed by accessing the Texas Department of Public Safety secure website and will be based on name and date of birth identifiers I supply. Because the name-based information is not an exact search and only fingerprint record searches represent true identification to criminal history, SISD is not allowed to discuss ANY criminal history record information obtained using the name and date of birth method. Therefore, SISD may request that I have a fingerprint search performed to clear any misidentification based on the result of the name and date of birth search. For the fingerprinting process I will be required to submit a full and complete set of my fingerprints for analysis through the Texas Department of Public Safety (AFIS) Automated Fingerprint Identification System. I have been made aware that in order to complete this process I must make an appointment, submit a complete set of my fingerprints, request a copy be sent to SISD, and pay a fee to the fingerprinting services company. Once this process is completed and SISD receives the data from DPS, the information in my fingerprint criminal history record may be discussed with me.
I authorize Sharyland ISD to review and consider the results of my educator certification examinations pursuant to Texas Education Code 21.048(c-1) as needed for the duration of my employment. The results of these examinations will be reviewed to obtain information relevant to my qualifications for continued employment with the District.

Benefits
SISD provides a comprehensive benefits package to all employees including a choice of health and dental plans, as well as life insurance, disability insurance and cafeteria plan payroll deductions. All employees contribute to the Texas Teacher Retirement System (TRS) and are eligible for benefits under that plan. They may also contribute to a personal 403(b) retirement account. New hires have 30 days from the date of their hire to choose their benefits coverage.
