Contemporaries is seeking a skilled Workforce Data Analyst for a 1-year contract position to support our partnership with Health and Human Services (HHS). The ideal candidate will have experience in math modeling, statistical analysis, workload analysis, and workforce projections, with a focus on analyzing trends related to employee behavior (such as retirement, promotions, etc.) that could influence HHS's workforce in the long term. (This position is expected to be a hybrid position with both in-office and remote work, but is subject to change under new federal regulations)
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze workforce trends and employee data to identify patterns in promotions, retirements, and other factors affecting HHS's staffing needs.
- Develop and maintain statistical models to forecast workforce changes and project future needs.
- Perform workload analysis to assess the adequacy of current staffing levels and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with HHS leadership to identify key workforce drivers and provide actionable insights.
- Prepare comprehensive reports with data findings, including trends and projections, for senior leadership and other stakeholders.
- Support HHS in strategic planning by providing data-driven recommendations to optimize workforce planning and resource allocation.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly and effectively, both in written reports and presentations.
- Assist with the development of methodologies for tracking and assessing long-term workforce sustainability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Proven experience (3+ years) in workforce data analysis, statistical modeling, and workforce planning.
- Strong background in math modeling, statistical analysis, and workforce projections.
- Proficiency with data analysis software and tools (e.g., Excel, R, Python, SPSS, etc.).
- Familiarity with government contracting and working in a public-sector environment, preferably with Health and Human Services (HHS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present findings in a clear, actionable manner.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with workforce planning, retirement analysis, or employee lifecycle analytics.
- Knowledge of HHS organizational structure and operations is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data reporting and analysis.
