This individual will be responsible for leading a team, which supports the Thurmont Plant in the areas of recruiting, retention, payroll, benefits administration, and other administrative functions for hourly production positions. This role will interact with plant leadership, production employees and Human Resources. Primary responsibilities:- Supervise and coach administrative personnel in the completion of their daily job responsibilities and ensure a high level of response and support to leadership and hourly employees- Participate in staffing requirement planning with plant leadership to meet facility goals and objectives- Manage the plant production recruiting process, to ensure a robust and compliant hiring process for candidates and plant leadership- Source qualified candidates by determining the most effective recruiting sources and coordinating with staffing vendors and external advertising - Coordinate plant hourly postings and candidate movement through the company's applicant tracking system, with the Building Products Workforce Development team- Recommend retention initiatives to ensure the plant is able to meet staffing needs and support plant leadership in executing these initiatives- Provide and maintain accurate financial and employee records. Review applicable reports and spreadsheets on a regular basis- Provide for the timely execution of administrative processes such as payroll reports, Personnel Change Notices, new hire orientation, merit review tracking, newsletters, safety support, and so on- Support Human Resources in ensuring the plant stays up to date with legal postings and policy distribution and compliance - Schedule and coordinate plant functions and trainings, which may include safety training, corporate trainings, lunches, and so onBase salary, plus bonus, 401k, full benefits and great profit sharing program once vested.
