What does a Workforce Management Manager do?
* Effectively distributes work volume and scheduling assignments across the scheduling team, ensuring that each scheduler has appropriate knowledge of operational criteria for assigned departments. Ensures 24 x 7 coverage of the scheduling function, to include processing of paid time-off and other absences.
* Develops and implements standard operating procedures and sets effective performance standards for the scheduling team to ensure weekly communication with leaders who have dynamic schedules to stay abreast of changing business and staffing needs.
* Ensures each scheduler maintains a consistent weekly process for reviewing team schedules with each leader and obtaining approval prior to publishing. Regularly achieves the goal of publishing schedules a minimum of 2 weeks in advance.
* Suggests schedule changes, optimization, and formulates recommendations for scheduling efficiencies based on departmental and operational needs.
* Serves as a subject matter expert on Virtual Roster software. Demonstrates and articulates understanding of workforce management/centralized scheduling concepts relating to forecasting, capacity planning and scheduling.
* Regularly reviews audit reports and dashboards for all department schedules to monitor scheduler efficiency and effectiveness and ensure compliance with organizational scheduling policies.
* Conducts periodic leader outreach (at least quarterly) to ensure satisfaction with scheduling services provided.
* Works closely with HR systems and IT to review Virtual Roster releases and updates and ensures all schedulers are appropriately trained in optimizing Virtual Roster functionality. Effectively tracks and communicates any software issues and downtime.
* Works collaboratively with all department leaders and support departments to ensure effective onboarding and cross-utilization of employees in multiple positions.

Key attributes we're seeking as a Workforce Management Manager are:
* A bachelor's degree in business management or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
* A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience, with at least 2 as a direct supervisor/manager.
* At least 2 years' experience leading a centralized scheduling function in a large, dynamic organization - preferably in the hospitality and/or gaming industry.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills deployed to meet both leader and employee needs.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to produce accurate schedules for thousands of employees within specific deadlines.
* The ability to promote and manage change positively, identify and implement process improvement, optimize resources, and leverage automation and technology
* The proficiency with PC operations and web-based platforms. Previous experience with scheduling software, preferably Virtual Roster. Previous experience with time and attendance and/or payroll systems, UKG and preferably Kronos software.
* Excellent analytical skills with ability to identify trends and audit and synthesize data to provide concise reporting.
* The ability to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 10 lbs.
