Known for our precision and dedication to quality, we've built a reputation as a trusted choice for homeowners looking to bring their remodeling visions to life.Position Overview:We're seeking a hands-on Working Foreman with a strong carpentry background to lead our residential remodeling projects. This role involves both supervising on-site activities and working alongside the crew to ensure every project meets Crosby's high standards of craftsmanship and client satisfaction.Key Responsibilities
  • Project Supervision & Team Leadership
    • Oversee daily on-site operations, ensuring projects run smoothly and meet all quality standards.
    • Lead by example, working with your tool belt on and with hands-on leadership.
    • Guide and mentor crew members, maintaining a culture of craftsmanship, efficiency, and safety.
    • Direct the team's productivity, ensuring each step is prepared in advance and that the team operates at peak efficiency.
  • Project Execution & Technical Residential Remodeling Skills
    • Execute structural framing, interiors, kitchens, cabinetry, finish and trim work, and layout tasks with a high level of expertise.
    • Utilize experience with blueprints, layout planning, footings, and structural framing.
    • Install windows, doors, siding, and flashing with accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Ensure weight distribution, step layout, and adherence to structural requirements.
  • Client Communication & Quality Control
    • Act as the primary on-site contact for clients, providing project updates and addressing any concerns.
    • Conduct regular inspections to guarantee work aligns with Crosby's quality standards.
    • Enforce safety protocols and maintain OSHA compliance on all job sites.
  • Materials Management
    • Order lumber and other materials as needed, ensuring availability to keep projects on schedule.
    • Manage morning or end-of-day material runs as required.
    • Coordinate effectively with subcontractors to ensure seamless project progression.
  • Administrative & Software Proficiency
    • Familiarity with Job Tread software is a plus for tracking project progress and managing team productivity.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in residential remodeling or a related construction field.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage teams, coordinate project tasks, and maintain productivity.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficient in structural framing, blueprints, layout planning, and general carpentry.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication to interact professionally with clients, team members, and subcontractors.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift to 50+ lbs and work at heights, indoors and outdoors year-round.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
