Position Information Working Title Workstation Support Associate - 2 Positions - Temporary (Lincoln, NE) Department University of Nebraska System Requisition Number S_241012 Posting Open Date 10/02/2024 Application Review Date: (To ensure consideration, please submit all application materials before review date) 12/04/2024 Posting Close Date Open Until Filled Yes Description of Work Under direction of Client Services management, assist university community and partnered areas with exemplary support through the utilization and promotion of industry standard tools and best practices, in a manner consistent with ITS policies and standards. This position will participate in the utilization and deployment of new technologies, documentation of processes, tracking of inventory, and will work with our stakeholders to provide hardware and software support as well as training for supported technology. They will work closely with other specialists throughout ITS including networking, security, academic technology, and endpoint security to provide industry standard best practices and support to university departments.This position will uphold the ITS core principles of outstanding collaboration and communication, a drive to succeed, a passion for higher learning, and acting with integrity.Please note: Sponsorship will not be offered for this position.#LI-DNI Minimum Required Qualifications Required QualificationsTwo years post-secondary educationTwo years of experience with desktop and/or IT helpdesk/service deskKnowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows and/or Apple macOS operating systems, software applicationadministration and hardwareExperience providing hardware and software support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printersExperience with direct customer supportEquivalent combination of education, experience, that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Preferred Qualifications Preferred QualificationsExperience with audio/visual (AV) equipmentExperience with technology research, management, procurement and deploymentExperience with managing vendor interactionsThe ideal candidate is an agile professional with strong interpersonal communication skills, flexibility and responsiveness; exhibits high ethical standards; proficient in managing time and competing priorities; responsive and committed to supporting staff; committed to the ideals of a major public research university.
