  • Certified by the U.S. Army to teach and conduct a JROTC Program at the high school level.
  • Proper certification as required by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.
  • Retired for no more than 3 years.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
  • REPORTS TO: CTAE Director and Senior Army Instructor JOB GOAL: To assist the Senior Army Instructor in maintaining an effective JROTC Program that encourages and enables students to become productive citizens. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance.
  • Teach students from 9th to 12th grades the Leadership Education Training (LET) program of instruction.
  • Give students an opportunity to provide school and community service. Allow students to post color and honor guards for community and patriotic events. Support athletic events as required. Coach teams such as rifle, drill, and raider teams. Provide team members opportunities for success through competition with other schools.
  • Maintain accountability for all government property and conduct supply actions in accordance with Army regulations. Submit reports to U.S. Army Cadet Command Headquarters on administration of the program as required.
  • Prepare students for U.S. Army Cadet Command Headquarters inspections.
  • Perform additional duties as required by U.S. Army Cadet Command Headquarters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year to be established by the Worth County Board of Education and U.S. Army. EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the CTAE director.
