X-Ray Technologist - Tandym Group : Job Details

A healthcare network in New York City is currently seeking X-Ray Technologist to join their growing Care Team on Staten Island. In this role, the X-Ray Technologist will be responsible for assisting providers with clinical services and administrative tasks to support the patient population. About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Monday to Sunday
• Hours: 12hr shifts: 7am-7:30pm & 7pm-730am
• A shift - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday B shift - Thursday, Friday C shift - Saturday, Sunday
• Full time & Part time schedule available
• Setting: Field

Responsibilities:

• Performs radiologic services in accordance with standards established by the hospital as well as Federal, State, and Local standards
• Prepares patient for examination, explains procedure to patient and answers any questions they may have
• Transfers patient to examination area, positions patient, makes pre-determined exposure according to technique guide recommendations
• Adjusts equipment as needed for the examination
• Arranges immobilization and support devices to obtain and maintain proper patient positioning
• Observes patient and radiographic device during procedure, reports unusual occurrences and records patient's condition when appropriate
• Records all information pertaining to the examination performed in the software
• Records any information which will be helpful to the Radiologist, or which describes limitations of the examination performed
• Provides for proper image identification, and is directly responsible for assuring that all images are labeled properly and completely
• Transports and uses mobile radiology equipment in patient care areas as required
• Performs all required paperwork as assigned by the supervisor (i.e.: incident reporting, etc.)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be a graduate of an accredited two-year program in X-Ray technology
• New York State license in X-Ray Technology

Desired Skills:

• A minimum of 6+months of experience
