Description
Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects related to the Performance Team yard as outlined below:
* Ensure that yard is safe, secure and clean at all times.
* Effectively communicate and interact with inter-company departments including but not limited to: Security, facility maintenance, safety, Building operations and corporate operations.
* Monitor on an hourly basis yard capacity especially during peak conditions and publish capacity reports throughout the day.
* Work with operations with respect to the following:
* Forecast yard moves per shift.
* Management of outside carrier trailer pools.
* Metrics:
* Tracking yard driver productivity.
* Track and publish yard utilization and capacity reports
* Track door dwell time to improve switching of doors by drivers/operations.
* Monitoring equipment dwell time and notifying operations of trailers/containers dwelling longer than 48 hours
* Designated Yard View YMS super user. Must understand and comprehend all YMS functions and commands including transactions, statuses and reporting.
* Profit Loss Statement Responsibility - Prepare cost analysis and periodic management and operational reports including weekly financial forecast and general ledger reconciliation.
* Search and prepare additional auxiliary yard's during peak volumes
* Hire and manage the following employees and associates.
* Yard drivers
* YMS Clerks
* Shipping and Receiving Clerks
* Prepare and direct in-service training programs for newly employed personnel.
* Will be required to drive continuous improvement within operation including, but not limited to the following:
* Implement Centralized Equipment Control Department.
* Assist with improvements to In/Out Gate Process
* Perform related duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
* This job has supervisory responsibilities of yard drivers and office staff.
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma with at least two years industry experience.
Pay Range:
$60,000-$70,000
* The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
