This job was posted by : For more information, please see: Loader Operator - Berlin, VT, USHourly-StaffWhat you will be doing:The Loader Operator is expected to operate the loader in a safe manner at all times. Additionally, the loader operator is responsible for completing all maintenance on plant for the safe and efficient operation of the assigned plant including Plant/Yard inspections and maintenance (as per the Plant Maintenance Schedule). Maintain concrete block forms and surrounding area. Pour, strip and stockpile blocks in a neat, orderly, and safe manner. Keep all yard and plant areas neat, organized, and as safe as possible at all times. Snow plowing, removal, and sanding of areas. Clean out under plant at the end of each day. Oversee maintenance of washout area for mixer trucks.Requirements of the job:Must be able to maneuver in and out of equipment safelyMust be able to lift or maneuver up to 75lbs. multiple times throughout the workdayMust inspect all areas of equipment and plant, dailyMust perform plant maintenancePerform multiple tasks under stressful situations over long periods of time while maintaining proper composureMust be able to work flexible hours as necessaryPerform multiple tasks of sustained viewing activity at rear of loader utilizing mirrors while driving and manipulating controlsMaintenance of Yard Truck and LoaderPerform daily pre-trip inspectionsPerform weekly grease (more frequently when needed)At the end of each workday fuel yard truck and loader and sweep out cabsEnsure that both are always kept clean inside and outWhat We are Looking for:Must be dependable, a team player and be safety consciousMust be able to deal professionally with plant employees and other driversCommon sense and good judgement and willingness to workExcellent defensive driving skillsBasic knowledge of equipment, plant and truck operationsQualifications:High School Diploma or GEDPrevious experience as a laborer, loader and 10-wheel dump truck operator.Schedule: We guarantee 40 hours all year round!
