We are seeking a supervisor for our Adrian, MI yard. This role involves managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and maintaining inventory effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. A solid understanding of safety regulations and the capability to work in various weather conditions is essential. Additionally, candidates have a basic knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap materials or a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities
What you will do
* Develop, lead, train, and coach all union employees within department.
* Manage, supervise, and direct union employees in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
* Ensure compliance in safety, environment, and personnel issues that may arise.
* Manage inventory on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
* All other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
What we look for
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to train and motivate others.
* Understanding and adherence to safety regulations.
* Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
* Ability to lift 50lbs or more as required.
* Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap or desire to learn.
* Ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced, team-oriented, work environment.
* Minimum of one year supervisory or lead experience in an industrial setting.
