As a Yardman Helper, you'll be at the heart of our operations, efficiently handling, organizing, and distributing bricks and other materials in the yard. This is more than just a job-it's an opportunity to thrive in a role that requires manual labor, supports machinery operations, and provides top-notch service to our valued customers. MUST HAVE RESUME!!!

salary: $18 - $19 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

+ Material Handling Support:

+ Assist with loading and unloading bricks and other materials from trucks and storage areas.

+ Help organize materials in the yard, ensuring they are stored safely and accessibly.

+ Assist with conducting regular inventory checks and reporting discrepancies to the Yard Supervisor.

+ Order Fulfillment Assistance:

+ Help prepare and package orders for delivery or customer pickup according to specifications.

+ Pull orders accurately and efficiently from inventory.

+ Support delivery drivers with loading and securing materials for transport.

+ Verify the accuracy of orders being loaded or unloaded under supervision.

+ Yard Maintenance:

+ Help maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the yard.

+ Assist with routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.

+ Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

+ Customer Service:

+ Greet customers and assist them in locating and loading their orders.

+ Answer basic customer inquiries regarding products and availability, escalating complex questions to more experienced staff.

+ Handle customer issues promptly and professionally, seeking assistance from supervisors when necessary.

+ Safety:

+ Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

+ Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

The essential functions of this role include:

+ working in a smoke free environment

+ wearing steel toe shoes

+ working in a non-temperature controlled environment

+ manual lifting up to 50lbs

+ standing for 8 hours at one time
