Year Round Youth Worker - The Chickasaw Nation : Job Details

We are currently looking for a Part Time 29 Year Round Youth Worker to join our Cultural Center Community Gardens Conservation Educator team located at the Chickasaw Cultural Center.Summary:Responsible for proper maintenance of Chickasaw Cultural Center campus landscaping, turf, greenhouse, as well as butterfly, village, and spiral gardens.Responsibilities:* Perform landscaping duties, including but not limited to, plant removal and installation, plant maintenance, and any task assigned.* Receive supplies, materials and assigned equipment and ensures that they are maintained, inventoried and stored per approved procedures.* Operate all assigned equipment per instructions and approved safety practices.* Maintain an effective work relationship with the different Chickasaw Nation staff.* Perform work inside the greenhouse such as transplanting, seeding, and trimming.* All other duties as assignedCompetencies:Essential:* Follow instructions, written or oral * Adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements* Ability to work independently* Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability* Read, understand and apply regulations and policies* Communicates verbally with team, departments, guests and managementSkills:Experience:Essential:* No prior experience required.Education:Nonessential:* Not requiredCredentials:Essential:* Must be under 21 years old* Must be currently enrolled in schoolWorking Conditions:Essential:* Pass pre-employment drug test* Outside, all weather conditions* Sometimes bend, kneel, stoop, push, reach* Sometimes lift and or carry up to 25 lbs
