Zoning Administrator - Town of Fairfield : Job Details

The Town of Fairfield, VT is seeking a Zoning Administrator (ZA) to enforce the Fairfield Subdivision and Zoning Bylaws.

The responsibilities of this position play a vital role in our beautiful, rural community, including:

• Responding to information requests and permit applications from the public;
• Reviewing applications for completeness;
• Preparing materials and written summaries for the Planning and Zoning Board of Adjustment (PZBA);
• Working with the PZBA Chair to organize meetings in accordance to VT's Open Meeting Law;
• Maintaining a neutral approach while ensuring compliance;
• Engaging in bylaw review processes as needed;
• Serving as the town's E911 coordinator, etc.

The ZA must engage effectively with the public and have prior experience with municipal operations.
